Katie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University and went on to obtain her master’s degree in professional counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. She has a passion for psychoeducation and workshops so that she can continue to provide treatment in a way that works best to address individual needs.
Katie’s therapy addresses the lifespan as she works with adults and adolescents. She is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space so you can get the most out of therapy. Katie specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and uses a blend of therapy techniques that are fine tuned to what you need to be successful. She is EMDR trained, and her areas of focus include treating depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem building, self-discovery, life transitions and developing healthy coping skills.
It is her belief that working through trauma, both big and small, is an important part of the counseling process. Katie provides a judgement-free zone and helps you implement the tools to continue building success long after therapy. It is her honor to work with you and hear your story.
Finn is going through training to become the best therapy dog to support the therapy process. Finn is currently enrolled in training through PetSmart. In his spare time, he enjoys eating treats, playing with toys, and laying in the sun while his hair blows in the wind.
